To boot the RIP rescue system from a DOS/Win9x system, do this.

 Have the RIP cd in the drive, in this example it's E.
 This only works on a DOS/Win9x system in DOS mode.
 You have to be in DOS mode, shutdown windows and restart in DOS mode. 

 C:\ e:
 E:\ rip rescue

 If you want to enable SCSI emulation!
 Your cdrom drive could be hdb, hdc, hdd, etc.

 E:\ rip rescue hdd=scsi

 If you want to boot a Linux partition put the device it's on (/dev/xxxx).

 E:\ rip linux root=/dev/hda2 ro
 E:\ rip linux root=/dev/hda2 ro hdd=scsi

 E:\ rip linux root=/dev/hda2 ro single       "Boot to single-user mode!"
